Say G'day Walk

01 May 2018

During May, Graham Perrett, the Federal Member for Moreton will be walking and talking his way across the length and breadth of his Southside electorate to promote the wonderful community groups that provide support, services and companionship in the local area.

Graham is asking local residents to join him for part of his walk, meet him at one of the designated stops along the way or visit a community group with him.  There are plenty of options for locals to choose from.  Join him for a morning walk on one of the picturesque local walking tracks; a visit to the Men’s Shed or Senior Citizens; a visit to an art class at one of the local artist groups; or come and have a chat at one of the coffee shops along the way.

Southside residents will have received a map of Graham’s walk in their letterboxes with details of where and when he will be walking.

“Saying G’day is such a simple thing to do – but it can be so important.  I’m encouraging everyone on the Southside to say G’day in May to their neighbours and to the local community organisations that make our community great”, said Graham Perrett.

“I’ll be walking from Eight Mile Plains to Sunnybank; Tarragindi to Salisbury; Moorooka to Acacia Ridge; Yeronga to Moorooka; Tennyson to Oxley; and Kuraby to Sunnybank.  It’s a beautiful time of the year to be outside so come and join me.”
