Member for Moreton Graham Perrett today announced that a Shorten Labor Government will invest $30,000 to upgrade the Yeronga Men’s Shed.
This election is a choice between a Shorten Labor Government with a plan for the services our community needs, or more cuts and chaos from the Liberals.
This investment will allow the Yeronga Men’s Shed to construct an additional shaded structure to extend their working area. This will provide space for members to work on even more community projects.
“It is important that we support the wellbeing of local men who have completed their working lives but are keen to continue to contribute to the community in a positive way,” said Mr Perrett.
“I always feel very welcome when I visit the Men’s Shed and am always interested to see the current projects they are working on.
“Men’s Sheds are a great place for men to get together, do some woodwork, grab a coffee and just have a chat. It’s also a great way for older men to pass on their skills to the younger generation.
“Men’s Sheds are a wonderful community organisation and I am committed to supporting the Moreton community through initiatives like this.”
