2024 -2025 MORETON VOLUNTEER GRANTS
Expressions of interest for the 2024 - 2025 Moreton Volunteer Grants are now open.
The Volunteer Grants supports community volunteer groups who benefit our local area.
The program intends to encourage and support participation in local projects by helping volunteers advance local community participation in a wide range of beneficial programs.
The grant aims to assist local groups with some of the costs associated with taking on volunteers, to help community organisations support the efforts of Australia’s volunteers, help community organisations to support the inclusion of young people to volunteering and encourage further recruitment and participation of members of the community.
There are changes to what your organisation can now apply for so please read the eligibility guidelines very carefully before you submit your EOI.

Project eligibility
Your organisation must be staffed by 40% or more volunteers.
You must be a not-for-profit organisation with an Australian Business Number (ABN).
Have a bank account with an Australian financial institution in the name of the organisation applying.
A total of $66,225 is available for grants between $1,000 and $5,000 and can cover costs such as:
- Purchase eligible communication equipment items for use by volunteers like mobile phones or radio's
- Contribute to internet and insurance premium costs
- Contribute to the cost of laptops or similar for the primary use of online communication
- Assist with the cost of software equipment for computers and laptops.
In addition, if your organisation has volunteers under the age of 18 or whose volunteering activities supports children's development and well being you can:
- Purchase appropriate protection equipment for volunteers
- Contribute to event costs, furniture and office equipment
- Contribute to the cost of fuel, storage, training and background screening checks
- Purchase white goods, appliances and recreational equipment
Expressions of interest close Friday 24 January 2025.
Please take special note of this date as the expression of interest period covers Christmas and New Year periods.
Please also note that the first stage of this grant process is expression of interest only.
